Car insurance money saving tips;

May 31st, 2011 | Car Insurance | No comments

You can save money on car insurance for a new or used model purchased at a Washington DC Nissan Dealer in a number of ways. The best way to save money on car insurance for any vehicle model is to shop around at a number of insurance websites. You will get a wide range of quotes for a Pittsburgh Kia Dealer vehicle or any vehicle, and you should also know what type of coverage you’re looking to get before you start shopping. You should only compare the same level of coverage from one insurance company to another, and also compare only the same make and model from a Nissan Dealership Montgomery or whichever dealership you’re looking to buy a car from.

Let the agent you are talking to know upfront that you are comparing quotes from different insurance companies, and that if the agent cannot provide as low of a rate as possible that you will look at other companies. You can use the competition to your advantage and get a great deal on insurance by doing this. Take your time while negotiating insurance rates, and be sure to ask about any and all discounts that may apply to you.

You can receive discounts for a number of reasons, for your employer, your job, your age, marital status, educational status, and several other factors. Some insurance companies offer more discounts for vehicles that have the latest safety features, so be sure to let your insurer know about any safety features that you have added to your car. If you’re looking to purchase full insurance, auto theft prevention devices are almost guaranteed to reduce your insurance costs. Certainly some factors are outside of your control, such as being involved in an accident or getting a ticket in the past, but you can tip the odds in your favor of getting a better rate by trying to get as many discounts as possible.

This Tornado or Hurricane Season; Don’t Be Fooled!

May 24th, 2011 | Car Advice | 1 comment

Flood car3 This Tornado or Hurricane Season; Dont Be Fooled!Nearly a half million cars were destroyed by two of the  biggest hurricanes, Hurricane  Katrina and Hurricane Rita. Even dozens of Daytona vacation rentals from those wicked storms.  Some of these cars may not have received much apparent damage just because they staying in one spot.   They were totaled because of water, mud, and debris which had risen in some areas, that flooded engine and the interior. After the vehicles are totaled, damaged cars are supposed should go to the junkyard for scrap metal. Never to no fail,  some unscrupulous perps are gaining a hold of the vehicle titles, turning around and selling damaged cars to the public with needs that are immediate.  You should be concerned,  what you can do to avoid being stuck with a vehicle that is certain to be a lemon.

Let us just put this out there: it is not illegal for weekend mechanics to buy a salvaged vehicles, fix them, and try to sell it to you. What they must disclose to you is this: you are buying a salvaged vehicle and this is where the lacking exists.  Due to the nature of apprehension most consumers have about buying flooded vehicles, the are reluctant to release that information.  They seek out vehicles that are high in resale value like that of from Toyota Dealership Wrentham MA or Toyota Dealership Minneapolis.  The only 22 states that require the titles of flood damaged vehicles, that were totaled by the insurance company in the first place, can be stamped with that information. So, for the many that live in the other 28 states, be on the look out for scandalous motive from not so reputable dealers.

There are  organizations trying to do their part to help fight the problem. The National Insurance Crime Bureau, also known as NCIB,  have sent teams to flood damaged areas in affected states to work with local police authorities. What the teams do is try to log all of the flood damaged vehicles and enter that information in a database, which is accessible online. Because of their dually diligence, nearly 200,000 car identification numbers are now available for car buyers to search at the website, keeping you one step closer to not losing a chunk of invested money.

Carfax is still recommended for any consumer needing to purchase a vehicle.  Some consumers are still reluctant because what if the information has never been reported, some say. For the most part it can usually reveal whether a car has been salvaged, rebuilt, is a lemon, or has been flood damaged. Some guarantee their information so check the individual contract/agreement before you use their services to see what recourse you would have in the event a lemon sneaks by them and you purchase one, any little bit of help is always useful.

Hurricane Floyd damaged about 80,000 vehicles, it has been reported that almost half were repaired, fixed and cleaned up.  Then sold to unsuspecting consumers, without their knowledge or consent.Do not let anyone take advantage of you, so get informed with laws.  One clue is if car is priced well below book value, however don’t rely on price, instead do some research by maybe ordering the Carfax, first before buying your next used car.

Chrysler has deal to repay government loans;

May 20th, 2011 | Chrysler | 1 comment

Chrysler has a deal to repay government loans after the company announced its intentions to reduce the amount of government debt that the company is operating under. Chrysler’s used models can be purchased from a Bradenton used car lot. Chrysler will repay nearly $7.5 billion worth of U.S. government loans that the government allotted to the company in 2009, and the loans will be paid back with the help of a financing agreement with several banks. Bankruptcy pushed both Chrysler to the point of near collapse along with GM whose latest Chevrolet Equinox and other models have been selling in higher quantities.

Sarasota Chevy and other Chevy dealerships have also been selling more Chevy models lately, and both Chrysler and GM have been turning around more quickly than anticipated. Chrysler will be using $3.5 billion in bonds as well as a $2.5 billion term loan and $1.3 billion in cash to pay back the government loans. The $3.5 billion bond had its detailed described last Thursday and the new debt was also priced on this day as well. Last April Chrysler announced that the company would be repaying back its government loans by the end of June. The CEO and the CFO of Chrysler have always intended on paying back the loans as quickly as possible.

Previously, the CEO of Chrysler commented on the high interest rate of the government loans that the company was allotted in 2009. Paying back the loans is a major step for Chrysler in its restructuring and will help improve the credit rating of the automaker. It will also allow the company to lower its interest payments on its loans. Interest alone for the loans given to Chrysler totaled $1.2 billion last year. Fiat will also increase its own stake in Chrysler to 46 percent when previously Fiat owned 30 percent. With the help of Fiat, Chrysler will continue its path of success by lowering its costs and maximizing profit from its brands.
